We are currently seeking a few more actors in the Asheville, NC area to provide voice and facial animation for several walk-on characters in our upcoming CGI fantasy series, "Jurango." Once these roles are cast, casting will be complete!

Join our talented group and bring your creativity and passion to our ambitious project.

Please Note: Auditions will be submitted in audio only. However, in the final recording of your scene, we will capture facial animation as well as voice (together with the other actors in the scene) in live Zoom sessions.

Our Story

2024 is the year to bring this ambitious project to life!

"Jurango" has been a project three years in the making (and counting), the brainchild of the Amazon best-selling author, JD Hart. With recent advancements in 3D modeling, animation, and rendering technology, it is possible, with the work of highly talented actors, to create very realistic feature-length films. Using these advancements, JD Hart has built and tested a production pipeline (for more on this, go HERE). Meanwhile, the screenplay for Jurango's Season 1 has undergone four rounds of review and revision with feedback from several dozen talented published authors, writers, and fantasy genre enthusiasts, and was completed in July 2024 for the production phase of the project. How to Submit Your Audition

Just follow these four steps.

Step 1

Choose a character to audition for.

Choose one (or more!) of the 12 characters below, using the photos, descriptions, and number of scenes/lines they have in Season 1.

Step 2

Download the audition script.

Click on the "SCRIPT" button for each of the characters you choose, (You'll find more details about how to submit your auditions there.) Save or print the PDF file.

Step 3

Record your audition (audio only)

Using any audio recording device (a phone works fine!), capture your recording of the character's lines highlighted in yellow. Save the recording in MP3, WAV, or any other common format.

Step 4

Submit your audio recording

Attach the audio file to an email and send it to me. My email address is shown in the "Instructions" section of the script.

Goblin Messenger

Goblin Messenger is a slave, captured in a far-off war between two goblin clans. Now, he delivers message to the goblin lord, "Grock, the Magnificent."

Gate Captain

Gate Captain is a seasoned veteran of the imperial army, and a member of the Wizards League. A decorated soldier, he has risen through the ranks to be placed in command of securing Jurango’s back wall (to Jurango town).

He is Commander of the Orc Army's personal aide and right-hand "man."

Gate Guard 1

Gate Guard 1 has attitude, which has landed her into trouble many times. After an unfortunate recent encounter with several imperial guards, she has been assigned a boring and meaningless task: to watch over the town gate. And she hates the job with a passion.

Guard 1

Guard 1 is a town guardsman who takes his job seriously: patrolling the streets, keeping citizens safe, and, on occasion, taking on tasks from the citadel's comptroller.

Guard 2

Guard 2, a town guardsman, sees her job as just that: a job. And it is one that keeps her busy most days (with all the crime in town). She finds herself often assigned to work with Guard 1. And she is often annoyed by his bulldoggedness.

Goblin Guard 1

Goblin Guard 1 is not the brightest bulb in the box. And it is for this reason that he is assigned the simplest tasks: like guarding Grock's dungeon, which is empty nearly all the time. Even then, he gets things wrong.

Goblin Guard 2 is only slightly brighter than his cohort, Goblin Guard 1. But when they are together, he comes off as the genius of the two.

Goblin Witch oversees the selection and training of goblins who show promise in the use of magics. A devoted follower of her god, Grock, she can almost always be found at his side doing his personal bidding.

Sturges

Sturges hates his assignment at Jurango, one that only the commander, Tomas, can get him out of. As such, he has devoted himself to the difficult task of ingratiating himself to the intolerable man, doing whatever dirty assignments the commander passes his way.

Captain - Imperial Guard

Captain rose quickly through the ranks of her league -- the Rangers -- through her service to empire and empress. Her valiant actions in a conflict along the southern border has landed her the premiere position of "Captain of the Imperial Guard," a squad of a mere dozen leaguesmen assigned to ensure the empress's protection.
